
- We expect that you get up in the morning.
To make the school function, it is important that everybody starts the day together, which means that all students have to be out of bed no later than 8 am on weekdays. This creates optimal conditions for classes and morning meetings.
- We expect you to take part in cleaning and kitchen work.
Taking part in practical work is a natural and integrated part of your stay at the school. During your stay you will be given a few days of kitchen work, and you will have a daily responsibility to help keeping the school clean and classrooms ready for activities.
- We expect that you attend classes, meetings and practical work.
All abovementioned activities are obligatory in order for you to have a coherent stay and in order for us to plan activities, knowing the number of participants.
- We expect you to be on time for all school activities.
To make our community work and make the most of school activities, it is important that we do not waste each other’s time by showing up late.
- We expect you to accept the school’s alcohol guidelines.
Alcohol is not allowed on weekdays. Usually, alcohol is allowed on Friday and Saturday nights. When consuming alcohol, you must always show consideration towards others. The school is in charge of purchase and administration.
- We expect you to accept the school’s rules about drugs.
No kinds of drugs are allowed at Egå youth folk high school.
- We expect you to take an active part in the high school life.
You have to be aware of the fact that attending folk high school requires an effort on your part. We can only ensure a satisfying stay if all students contribute actively.
