Thinks to think about:
We do our best in translating all common classes into English and
teachers are instructed also to teach in English so the non-Danish
students can follow the teaching. Foreign students are therefore also
expected to know at least enough English to understand and be part of an
everyday-conversation, classes, and school life out side of class. See
nyidanmark.dk for more.
Being a student in another country can sometimes be difficult;
homesickness, loneliness, and times of feeling alone are common reactions
of being in another culture. This is something every international
student has to face - in fact many of the Danish students also have times
of difficulty, though they may be closer to home. The teachers and staff
are aware of this and will of course help when we can, but it is important
for the students to still be part of the active life of a boarding school
of this sort.
Please remember; it may not be easy at times but we promise you that when
the time comes you will have learned so much in- and outside of class
about yourself and life in another country that you will always look back
at your stay at Egå Ungdoms-Højskole as a great time in your life.
